Original Item. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous & scarce poster featuring the patch insignia of the units of the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, including the often forgotten auxiliary & non-divisional units. The poster also has two indexes in the bottom corners with a number-coded system, making this an exceptionally scarce piece of reference. This will look tremendous framed & displayed in your WWI Collection.
The poster features 81 insignia total, even including some stateside divisions. This is the most complete gathering of AEF insignia we have ever seen, and it is accompanied at the top by a depiction of General George Washington’s Headquarters at Valley Forge, a great testament to the previous 163 years of military history. The poster was printed in 1940 in Pennsylvania, originated by the Adam Scheidt Brewing Company in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
This poster has a great amount of color, but there is a bit of damage to be noted, including some small tears at the edges and near the center, near the Tank Corps insignia, number 18. There are also some scratches and a very small bit of water damage at the bottom. These issues do not take away from the beauty of the poster however, and it will look phenomenal once properly framed.
This is a fantastic poster that will add a great splash of color to your WWI Collection, as well as adding a great piece of reference material. Comes ready for further research and display.
