Very cool vintage 1960´s  raincoat with navy and bright blue vertical stripes "Varvunraita" designed by Vuokko for Marimekko. The set in  sleeved coat has two front vertical slash pockets with faux flaps, a large collar and it fastens with a nylon zipper in the front. There are vents under arms. Label MARIMEKKO Suomi Finland. Made of PVC coated cotton fabric. The coat is in a fabulous vintage condition, all seams and fabric remain good and strong.

Note: on the back of one sleeve, there are some tiny dots- not sure if it's a flaw in the finish, or paint spots but it's very minimal.

Note on design: It features the pattern "Varvunraita" designed by Vuokko Nurmesniemi and is the longer model with hood. Marimekko collaborated with another Finnish brand in the 60s called Rukka, which makes outdoor clothes - most of the vintage Marimekko raincoats are part of that collaboration and they are generally short with metal poppers in the front.
